  1. Submit your details in the signup form

  2. Pay the membership fee

Once we have received your membership payment, you will be added to the club mailing list. Once you're added to our mailing list you will get notified about all the trips, events as well as other perks.

Benefits of Membership

AUTC typically has well over 60+ trips and courses a year (when we aren't in lockdown).


These range from enjoyable day walks and Beach trips in the Auckland Region, through to month-long expeditions & suffer-fests in the South Island. In addition to access to theses trips, membership also provides:

  • Access to the cheapest bush and mountaineering instructional courses by a country mile

  • Access to club subsidised courses run by outside providers (These vary year to year and can range from First Aid to Avalanche courses)

  • Free hire of club gear

  • Access to club run events such as social or training events

  • Discounts at major outdoor retailers such as Bivouac Outdoor and Living Simply (requires AUTC membership card)

  • A free copy of our annual club magazine Footprints


University of Auckland Student - $20

Non - University of Auckland Student- $30

Membership lasts until March of the following year
