great quote

“We were up at Kyme and some joker decided he didn’t want to go outside at night, so he piddled in his boots. Now by the morning they had frozen over and he couldn’t get his feet in them so he went about banging his boots on anything he could to get the ice out. Eventually someone felt sorry for him and offered the dregs of their tee which defrosted them just enough. “

And regarding to Great Barrier island:

Some Amusing Quotes.....

I thought these were worthy of a wider circulation....

“Digital penetration . . .” – A certain somebody shares a little too much information about their sex life, Nelson Lakes.

“Am I too clingy, d’ya think, Jim?” – A former member of the club after encountering said somebody on their Nelson Lakes trip . . .

“You may only hit the driver if we’re travelling below 50km an hour.” – Andy, Three Passes.

“Act your age, why don’t you?!” – A Hokitika motorist takes a surprisingly antagonistic view towards piggyback rides . . .

A Few Track Updates...

Te Henga Walkway – Bethells bridge:

The bridge adjacent to the car park at the bethells end of the Te Henga Walkway was damaged in a recent flood event. The bridge was closed for a Short time however the Department has undertaken minor repair works to ensure it is safe to cross. Further repairs will take place in the new year to brign the bridge back into line. In the mean time proceed with caution and call the doc hotline to report any safety concerns on( 0800 dochot)
