Waitakere Stream Bashes
Pararaha
This is probably the simplest of the stream bashes to navigate around
And can be done either way up or down stream, though the only way I've ever done it is up stream for some reason.
Walk to the junction of buck taylor track and muir track where they cross the pararaha stream, it is easiest to park at the carpark on lone kauri road
From the pavilion/shelter by river walk up stream you will see a sign that says only for EXPERIENCED trampers. This means you should be with someone experienced to do this trip.
Walk, climb and swim your way up the river
A hand line may also be useful
Have a map with you and you will come out onto the odlin timber track
From here hang a left back to the car
There is a sign where you come back out onto the odlin timber track if you are coming from the other direction though I cant remember what it says
cheers
Rion
ps. Make sure you take dry bags and warm clothes
